RockPro64 MIPI-CSI interface using rkisp1 in latest edge kernel

Hi, 

we are trying to get the MIPI-CSI interfaces work on our RockPro64 with this being the current status:

Here's the question: has anyone been able to get this to work with kernel 5.X yet, and if so how? I'm pretty familiar with kernel experiments, but research on a working example aside of some old Android stuff gives actually nothing...

I do not know how dietpi images are obtained (I do not know the principles of this system), so I am just interested for general education. What kind of kernel is used there and how is it build ?
