Guest Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Hello, After a firmware update today I got a problem with Wireguard on my Odroid-hc4. I got that when checking ufw status, sudo ufw status verbose ERROR: problem running iptables: modprobe: FATAL: Module ip_tables not found in directory /lib/modules/5.10.123-meson64 iptables v1.8.7 (legacy): can't initialize iptables table `filter': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded. How to fix that? Laurent 0 Quote

Werner Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Odd. Iptables is enabled in kernel config. Can you check with a fresh image? https://www.armbian.com/download/ Also maybe check /lib/modules/5.10.123-meson64/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ if there are other modules available or all just missing. 0 Quote
Guest Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 ls /lib/modules/ 5.10.144-meson64 So modules aren't available for 5.10.123-meson64 on my system after update. 0 Quote
Guest Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 I checked in a fresh image on armbian site (Armbian_22.08.1_Odroidhc4_bullseye_current_5.10.139) and indeed there all modules available included ip_tables modules. How to get those modules for my kernel? Or I have to do a complete install (I haven't any backup sadly)? 0 Quote

Guest Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 run apt update & apt upgrade didn't propose me a new kernel. 0 Quote
Igor Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 You run unchanged Armbian or something else? 0 Quote
Guest Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 I run unchanged Armbian Bullseye for Odroid-hc4 since February 2022. 0 Quote

Guest Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Never mind. You are doing a great job with Armbian! 0 Quote
