Hello,

After a firmware update today I got a problem with Wireguard on my Odroid-hc4. I got that when checking ufw status,

sudo ufw status verbose
ERROR: problem running iptables: modprobe: FATAL: Module ip_tables not found in directory /lib/modules/5.10.123-meson64
iptables v1.8.7 (legacy): can't initialize iptables table `filter': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

How to fix that?

Odd. Iptables is enabled in kernel config. Can you check with a fresh image? https://www.armbian.com/download/

Also maybe check /lib/modules/5.10.123-meson64/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ if there are other modules available or all just missing.

So modules aren't available for 5.10.123-meson64 on my system after update.

I checked in a fresh image on armbian site (Armbian_22.08.1_Odroidhc4_bullseye_current_5.10.139) and indeed there all modules available included ip_tables modules.

 

How to get those modules for my kernel? Or I have to do a complete install (I haven't any backup sadly)?

Just run apt update & apt upgrade.

I run unchanged Armbian Bullseye for Odroid-hc4 since February 2022.
