Endian Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Thanks @Marco Schirrmeister for confirming my thought. I noticed that problem too! I should probably start building using this option. Not sure why I couldn't find it when running compile.sh though? 0 Quote
Endian Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 (edited) I just found a very interesting talk by Sebastian Reichel who works with hardware enablement of the RK3588 at Collabora in this video between 06:52:09 to 07:27:07 which I can recommend for those interested in the Collabora project for Rockchip. Now also available here https://kernel-recipes.org/en/2023/schedule/getting-the-rk3588-soc-supported-upstream/ Edited October 7, 2023 by Endian 1 Quote
teenytinycactus Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 After finally getting a new Rock5B I tried with the collabora release (rolling), and it looks like the intel AX200 I have in the PCIe M2.E slot has issues loading firmware. Looking forward to complete mainline support for this board as it's quite feature packed. 0 Quote
Oskar Enoksson Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 I noticed rock-5a board is not selectable when building in v23.11 branch. Will it be? Is there anything I can do to help? 0 Quote
Igor Posted December 5, 2023 Author Posted December 5, 2023 2 hours ago, Oskar Enoksson said: when building in v23.11 branch. Will it be? At release time, we make a branch from build framework and this was the 1st time that we also lock down sources. At least most of them. This means you can recreate identical images as those that were officially released. Since maintaining is very expensive and resources are slim, we have to focus very carefully what to maintain. 2 hours ago, Oskar Enoksson said: Is there anything I can do to help? Maintaining stable branch is a dedication - merging bug fixes only from main https://github.com/armbian/build/commits/main on a daily basis. As this board doesn't match "Standard support" criteria: https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Board-Support-Rules/ its masked behind EXPERT="yes" switch. You can build it, but you have to understand that nobody is specifically taking care of. But you ... if you want to keep it on the requested levels of "Standard support". 0 Quote
Oskar Enoksson Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Thanks. I will try building and then seriously consider that maintainer role. 0 Quote
