windumasta Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 As you can I have a fresh image with all I need I guess. That I think thas the issue came from android Ok I'll take a look on ghithaub
balbes150 Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 You're using the wrong image. You need to download images that have S812 in their name. https://yadi.sk/d/CxRZ4LFOuHcJW Armbian for S812 https://yadi.sk/d/QCGU0PIv3G5kEa
windumasta Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 I think a video is better than 1000 words.. not sur if this translation is correct. VID_20180215_183331.mp4 I try with this img file Armbian_5.37_S812_Debian_stretch_3.10.108_server_20180112.img And the content of the sdcard on windows :
windumasta Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 the issues came from the android system. Now I'm in the loop of step 7&8

Now I'm in the loop of step 7&8 for your S812 system did you read the notice at the bottom?: Attention !!!! On models with S802 S805 S812. Activation multi-boot is possible ONLY with SD card (activation of the USB stick is NOT WORKING). After a one-time activation procedure is multi-boot, run a variety of systems is possible from ANY storage media (SD cards and USB storage devices). When activation is done I did insert a USB-Stick with the armbian-boot-image and reboot
windumasta Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Should I use a usb stick in stead of the sdcard and put "Armbian_5.37_S812_Debian_stretch_3.10.108_server_20180112.img" on a usbstick ?
balbes150 Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 If multi-boot is enabled, then (to start the system from external media) you can use any media (SD or USB).
windumasta Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 I'm go back to android to make again the steps and 8. System twice to reboot and start running the system from external media. [it's only reboot one time] How tu use the uart ?
balbes150 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 On the Board of the TV box should be the contacts for connecting the UART. This is usually 4 contact. The photo does not show the entire cost.
windumasta Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Hello thx for help me I reupload thé pc with the uart location on board I don't know what is vcc. Where I suppose to plug it on the uart USB I presume it's the 5v or 3v
balbes150 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 You only need to connect three contacts. Gnd Tx Rx

balbes150 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 You have the s812. The message about chip 805 refers to the bootloader that is part of the image. What steps did you take ? Why do you start u-boot from SD card ? Did you remove the regular u-boot from NAND ?

balbes150 Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 No, you don't need to install Android. You need to rerun the Armbian installation from the same USB drive.
Putina Adrian Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 is it possible to install it on internal memory?

windumasta Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 This is not headless ? once I remove the hdmi cable and controle it by ssh the board not able to reboot even if the usbstick is pluged.
balbes150 Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 You do not have a root directory mounted. What partition size is /dev/data ?
windumasta Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 I suppopsed that /dev/data it's the emmc
balbes150 Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 14 hours ago, windumasta said: I suppopsed that /dev/data it's the emmc Yes, it's in eMMC memory. It copies the entire system from external media, if the partition is smaller than the system, it will not work.

Armbian it's on a usb stick of 2gb so it's fit
balbes150 Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Try starting the system from external media and manually mounting the /dev/data partition. Check it for errors and see how the system formed on it.
windumasta Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Hello. Well I Can mount /dev/data without error And the fs looks like correct. [IMG_20180226_153046] I made serval test Like change the 16gb sdcard for a 2gb it's working much better I don't uses dtb.img file because I Gate a a lot of error during the boot. [M8S11.LOG] I try all file in the dtb folder same error on log file. But il thé same time un [M8S10.log] it's asking for dtb. I Also get this error when I try with Ubuntu server [IMG_20180226_020218] M8S10.log M8S11.log
