kultex Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 these boards are no longer available, but there are quite a lot of these boards around - they work really well and it would be nice to get an Armbian build for them. There is an image from Odroid for it, but with an outdated 3.14 kernel. There is a working 4.9 Kernel for those boards - I was asking them, if they could update there image with the 4.8 Kernel, but the answer was no - http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=16633&start=100 https://github.com/tobiasjakobi/linux-odroid-public/blob/odroid-4.9.y/README-ODROID.md https://github.com/tobiasjakobi/ http://linux-exynos.org/wiki/Hardkernel_ODROID-X2 1
exynos_user Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I installed armbian on banana pi, and I like it very much. I have another board named Odroid U3 Community (http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G138733896281). However I can not find my product on the image lists. Which image shoud I download? Does armbian support Exynos 4421 platform? Best wishes.
inos Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 I own an Odroid u3 board as well and I would highly appreciate, if there would be an image available. I am using armbian on cubietruck and I am very happy with this distribution. Thank's very much to the team! Martin
manuti Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 No, ODROID-U3 is not supported and I suppose that's is not going to happen. You must use the hardkernel official images. 1
coolchip Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 If you like Arch Linux, this could be a thing for you: https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/samsung/odroid-u3

coolchip Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Yes, I use it as headless machine. Linux odroid-u3 4.15.11-1-ARCH #1 SMP Tue Mar 20 00:23:08 UTC 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux 1
manuti Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 O__O kernel 4.15.11 nice to know ... I'm a Debian and derivates user but maybe try Arch to bring a new kernel to my ODROID-U3 is a big idea. Thanks!!!
coolchip Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Try it. I like Arch. They have also images for other boards. 1
manuti Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I try Arch several years ago ... and is hard to learn all the different CLI commands!
Gandalf Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 (edited) ArmBian may be customized to support the Odroid-u3 board. I have made a script to build image from scratch few years ago, and I have updated it more recently to build an debian fom scratch system for odroid-u3, with official debian armmp linux kernel... All work fine, from bootup to system, with a little customization of flash-kernel and partition map... May be I get a little time to enhanced this suport... or to share my "bad" user script... ;-) https://github.com/erdoukki/DEBIAN_TOOLS/blob/master/BUILD-DEBIAN-ARM-20180711.sh Edited September 28, 2019 by Gandalf

It can be, just someone has to prepare something like this: https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/1542/files and when we are sure it does't break anything, things got merged as CSC (community supported configurations). In some cases they got broad support, download images, sometimes nothing.

I just "reset" use my flash-kernel/bootscript.odroid version
