Hi,

Since recent I have an issue that my Orangepi doesn't start anymore. My microSD is fine (did a full diskcheck using badblocks on ubuntu), en I can access all the files without issues. However, it doesn't want to boot. Every time I try to boot it (Orangepi pc), it gives the first black screen until starting kernel, and then gets stuck on the blinking underscore.

For information: I have an Orangepi PC and Armbian 5.32 with mainline kernel.

Now, this happened after I did an apt-get upgrade (incl. kernel upgrade) from 5.30 to 5.32, and then didn't reboot, but my orangepi had a short power interruption. After this it didn't want to start anymore.

Is there any easy solution not to run a full install again? I was thinking to try to update everything except OS files (this means kernel, uboot and I'm probably also missing something else)

Hi,

No, I don't have a serial console. During boot there is a CRC warning message though.

I found that one too. Problem is that without booting or serial console i cannot run the command.

Is there a workaround? I can mount it the microsd on Ubuntu

Prepare ARM based virtual machine, mount sdcard, chroot in it and finish your upgrade

I just did a clean install, it would be faster than trying to fix an old install.
