Patrick Frank Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 So far I was used to the Grub (and lilo) boot manager(s) but the Armbian 5.31 Bananapi Debian jessie next 4.11.5 image does some things differently. I have found the file /boot/armbianEnv.txt but none of the websites I found described what I should do with it. I tried to copy it to /etc but the changes did not take effect. I would like to remove the logo and have verbose boot messages. Could somebody help me to get there, please?
Igor Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 There is no GRUB on ARM boards. /boot/armbianEnv.txt Change those two parameters and reboot: verbosity=9 console=display 1

AFAIK it may be possible to load UEFI GRUB bro u-boot, but it would probably need some work to make a working configuration for it. 8 minutes ago, Patrick Frank said: I have found the file /boot/armbianEnv.txt but none of the websites I found described what I should do with it. You can check /boot/boot.cmd to check what it does exactly. 1
martinayotte Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 To remove the logo, simply delete the file /boot/boot.bmp 1
