falbriard Posted April 27 Posted April 27 My initial testing at the Orange Pi RV2 board detected a list of errors, missing features, driver issues and instabilities: . Not able to run Py5 3D geometry on basis of Jogl, JavaFx3D and Py5 API and packages. The error relates due to missing RISC64 architecture support in the Java APIs and will require platform adjustments for additional drivers. There is yet no GPU acceleration available for this board. Issues: . Missing Wacom tablet driver support at opening of the Ubuntu GNOME environment, the Stylus pen was not detected as pointer device. . Instability at the Firefox Web browser when opening of the start screen. . Chrome browser also shows issues with Google page display. My bypass solution is to use the startpage.com as default entry portal. . Slowness and strange blockings when switching the login to GNOME on Xorg. Xorg mode on Ubuntu. It could give support to the xinput setup commands. I appreciate some guidance how to activate those missing features at the Orange Pi RV2 board. Further test reports are welcome. 0 Quote
sven-ola Posted Tuesday at 03:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:45 PM Hi @falbriard, I don't know where your image is from and to what RISC-V build of Chrome browser you are referring. Anyhow, you are free to test my latest image build from current main commit 3ce7dec74. Go to https://privat-in.de/ follow Downloads and flash Armbian-unofficial_26.05.0-trunk_Orangepirv2_trixie_current_6.18.26_minimal.img from there. You will find a script in /root which installs Gnome with GPU and Chromium. Any GPU stuff is from a mirror of the Bianbu Linux (Chinese Ubuntu variant from SpacemiT). Be warned: You may get a kernel downgrade if you install current Armbian upgrades. The image comes with 6.18.26-current-spacemit (from main) but Armbian repos may deliver 6.6 until that main-current-6.18 makes it to the update repos. HTH // Sven-Ola 0 Quote
Igor Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just a small note here - I recently added Bianbu desktop (can be installed from armbian-config), where acceleration works on K1 based Musebook (legacy kernel). This should be possible to adopt to any other K1 board. Youtube video works fine in Chromium ... 0 Quote
