[GC2035] [PI PC Plus] Camera working old Armbian builds are gone! :(

Currently the only way to get a working GC2035 camera at Orange PI PC Plus, is to

1) install Armbian 5.20 or 5.23 ( 5.24 / 5.25 and anything newer is known not to work)

2) then you need to carefully apt-get update / apt-get upgrade and hope it doesnt break

However, there is a huge problem: Armbian 5.20 and 5.23 images are not available now :(

They should have been available at these links:

Armbian 5.20 - https://dl.armbian.com/orangepipcplus/archive/Armbian_5.20_Orangepipcplus_Debian_jessie_default_3.4.112.7z

Armbian 5.23 - https://dl.armbian.com/orangepipcplus/archive/Armbian_5.23_Orangepipcplus_Debian_jessie_default_3.4.112.7z

But they are 404 - and if you go to the root directory,  https://dl.armbian.com/orangepipcplus/archive/ , you will see that

only 5.24 and newer are available, and the camera is broken at all these builds

At this point 5.20 and 5.23 are much more valuable than 5.24 or 5.25.

Please, could you restore 5.20 and 5.23 working camera builds at your website?

(if not enough space, simply remove 5.24 and 5.25 - they are both outdated and broken camera, nobody needs them)

If you would use the search engine of our forum (search for: GC2035), the fifth result is a thread named 'Armbian 5.25 on OrangePI PC: The gc2035 video camera doesn't work'.  When you than read @garlics post:

and you add his script to rc.local your camera will work without issues on armbian 5.37... ;)

(user-built cause it needs normally less time than starting with a pre-built one and upgrade it with apt-update/apt-upgrade, but there's nothing special about this image... )

Hello,

Is there any chance for a noob like me to make the camera work on Orange PI PC? I was looking at the suggested post but I don't know how to add that script... Please, can someone help me?

So now we cannot using GC-2035 for Orange Pi ?

As long as noone takes up the task and write a proper driver for it and push it to mainline: no.
