where is the sound, 26.8.1 is totally quiet.

Featured Replies

What am I missing, sound has only the dummy_output, I can see it in the volume_control's gui vu meter, but nothing comes out of the hdmi's speakers or on a plugged in set of headphones.

2404 worked just fine.

Please advise?

IDK what is different, but this is around the 10th install of 26.08.1, and suddenly sound is working.

Now despite turning off all the timeouts, it still blanks the hdmi output, which in this case goes to a 42" Visio TV.

So anything left running, like T-Bird is running headless as the visio tv reverts to network tv after I've gone to bed, blowing me back out of bed with the tv sound, so how do I turn that off, I want to stay logged in forever.

Thank you Werner. Cheers, Gene
