You should find three /dev/ttyUSB* devices directly after you plug E220 into a USB port. 

 

Do you have them?

 

And how is working under Bananian? Kernel source is very similar, configuration looks o.k. ... BTW. Try with kernel 3.4.107 ... 4.x has issues.

Yes it is an E220 and he works under bananian 1501 but not under yours image and not under bananian 1504,

ls /dev/tty/USB* No such file or directory

 

i have make an test with bananian 1501 upgrade to 1504 install to sata and e220 umts. umts work wlan/hostap works but not stable under yours image the i think the hostap is stable and works good but not the umts stick. I have also two cubietrucks with yours jessie image and the work fine and i won´t all devices under your image i think you make the better work
