  1. Hello, I'm running a banana pro on the last armbian without any issues on a 16 gb SD Card. I wanted to make a try on a 64 gb card and burn the image on it, I think something went wrong, but now I cannot format or burn anything on the SD card, it says that the media is write protected. I tried to wipe out using parted or some tutos I saw creating an additional Registry key, but nothing worked ! Is my SD broken ? Thanks Greg
  2. In my /boot/config for 3.4.112 I have CONFIG_SUNXI_PWM=y yet there is no /sys/class/pwm-sunxi directory. Do I need to do anythig special to control onboard PWM? This is stock Armbian 5.16 with legacy kernel.
  3. Hello, with the update to the new kernel (4.6.3-sunxi) I get some problems on my banana pro. First, while the system starts I get sometimes a kernel panic. In the most cases the kernel will boot on the second or third try. But the second one will be contantly and can't be avoided by a system reboot. The network interfaces don't be worked. The will be initialized during the system start process, get there IPv4 addresses from the router per DHCP and ifconfig shown them with the state "up". Everything looks ok. But if I try to connect another system, the connection will be failed. Any ping, as exsample to the router (default gateway), fails. The ping to the own address will be worked without any issues (192.168.178.10 (eth0) and 192.168.178.52 (WLAN)). Maybe the network layer optimized it internally and used the loopback interface. Pls, have anybody an idea and can help me to fixed the issue. Or give me some hint how I can make a fallback to the previous kernal 4.5.5-sunxi which works fine. (sorry, linux is new for me, I'm a developer which like to move from QNX and the windows system layer to the IoT world) Thanks in advance dkl
  4. I tried changing script.bin/fex > usbc0 (settings) with many combinations but was not able to get the USB port working as genreal USB host ... so what am i missing ? Target Board :- Banana Pi. Target Os :- 3.4.112 (Armbian_5.10_Bananapipro_Debian_jessie_3.4.112_desktop)
  5. Hi, I can't seem to mount any drives with journaled user/group quota. I just get this error: root@bananapipro:~# mount -o rw,defaults,nofail,user_xattr,noexec,usrjquota=aquota.user,grpjquota=aquota.group,jqfmt=vfsv0 UUID=56790abd-531d-43b7-8cf8-9bfc85105f6a /media/56790abd-531d-43b7-8cf8-9bfc85105f6a mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so. If I run the mount command without the quota stuff the drive mounts without any problems and is browseable.
  6. Hi, on my BananaPI I installed this image: Armbian_5.10_Bananapipro_Debian_jessie_4.5.2_desktop.raw I followed these instructions: https://searchathing.com/?p=250 to move / to SATA (or USB) and crypt it with LUKS. After all, cat /proc/cpuinfo says, there is only 1 CPU-core. How can I activate the 2nd core? Thanks for your help
  7. Hy everyone, I am desperately trying to get armbian running on a bananapi pro. By using the raw files i had no luck. Did anyone ever try wether it works at all? For me id does not even boot... Thanks
  8. Hi congrats for the wonderful job with Armbian, i own a banana pro and I've found a great projet for rasp called Dietpi (http://dietpi.com/), Unfortunately the creator hasnt got a Bpro so he is not able to make it for our board, I'm asking if anyone is capable of making this suitable for us? It would be even more awesome, thank you
  9. comes to adding 131068 swap on /var/swap and further loading is not How to fix it? tried a USB flash drive to the new record, it is still the same, a reboot is not helping
  10. Hello. I soldered CR2032 battery to BAT1 on Banana pro board. Setup current date and time. But RTC not working. :-( When I restart the board I see old date and time. Please tell me, how can I turn on RTC?

  12. Hello. please tell me, I can find somewhere kernel modules for Armbian legacy trusty? interested ntfs and ufs modules. or teach how to build their own on my device. Wbr, Dmitry.
  13. Greetings all! I'm working to get my BananaPro (LeMaker board) up and running with Armbian 5 (Armbian_5.04_Bananapipro_Debian_jessie_4.4.3.raw) just downloaded to a fresh SD card. The radio is discovered and appears to be at least tolerated by the drivers. 15. I downloaded "Armbian_5.04_Bananapipro_Ubuntu_trusty_3.4.110_desktop.zip" but after installing I found that it has two basic issues >> (1) Mounting of USB sticks .. (2) No preinstalled classical Network manager .. so I wonder how to connect USB EVDO type modems in absence of network manager ? P.S :- target Board is Banana pi.
  16. On a new installation cant access over SSH. Same on latest Armbian 5.04 Jassie and Wheezy. If I change the parameter UsePAM to no (in /etc/ssh/sshd_config), I can login via SSH. EDIT I fount the problem is with first run scripts. On legacy it looks ok, but on vanilla these scripts are destroying SSH.

Any hints? Edit: I have the message for 19 updates, so I made apt-get update After reboot, all updates are gone and I get the message for the 19 updates again. Regards DoXer

  21. Hello, i have a Banana Pro and i want to switch to Armbian from Bananian. Only to write the image to the sdcard does not work. It don't boot (no green LED, no access with ssh). Is there a problem with the bananian u-boot? To change the u-boot with the lemaker script to default does not work, there is an error (https://github.com/LeMaker/scripts). Can somebody help me? Michael
  22. Hello everyone, Please beg my pardon if the question might seem “stupid†but I searched quite a bit without finding a solution. I’m using the ARMBIAN version of Debian Jessie on my Banana Pro with a great dose of satisfaction and I have noticed that the message about “system status†which appears on the first SSH Login Screen after each reboot provides a very useful insight into my system. From my researches I think I have understood that this is called “MOTD†(message of the day) and it is supposed to appear only once per session. I would like to display this message every time I open a new SSH Connection windows to my device, so to always have that information in each “Terminal Window†and not only to show them once at every reboot. Would this be possible? And if so, how exactly? Thank you for your time and your patience.
  23. Hello, I have just bought a bananaPro. I would like to learn a little by installing armbian and enabling the video acceleration. Currently, I have no LCD display, so I would start to install Debian Wheezy or Debian Jessie (legacy) so that to be able to log in through ssh. Nevertheless, on the download page for bananaPro it is said that "Mali drivers fails to compile". Is this driver mandatory for video acceleration to work ? I figured out it was rather related to cedarX. Then, which armbian image is best suited ? Thanks in advance for some piece of advice. Best regards deb2016
  24. Hi, I´ve just search in all forum for the A20-Banana Pro. And I must realize, that it doesn't give a Armbian5.0-Trusty-without-desktop ISO or RAW. Therefore I once wanted to ask if this for "Legacy" and / or "Vanilla" possibly still comes? Because I seek the server version of "Ubuntu Trusty" for my Banana Pi Pro. Best regards, Inu
  25. Hello, at first I want to thank you for your great work Igor 2 Days ago I installed the new version 5.00 Vanilla Kernel armbian for BananaPro on my SD card. And I was so glad to finally see a working wifi for BananaPro with mainline kernel. Today I did an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade. Ever since there is no more a wlan0 interface. Have tried ifconfig and iwconfig. It seems to be, that there was installed a new kernel image. What can we do to get it working again? Also ReleaseHistory says there is a version 5.01 but the download link for BananaPro Vanilla Jessie still leads to a version 5.00 link. Kind regards Wolf
