You might not be asking at the right place. It works for us and we don't maintain kernel specifically for TV boxes, nor mainline kernel. We add to the mainline (or vendor BSP) kernel what's missing, broken, temporal and development features and sometimes, eventually things get up-streamed. But there are no processes for that and its also not our call what gets accepted and what not. If you care, do some research about, make processes, ... maintaining already cost a lot which means adding more work to current maintainers is not an option. Our driver might not include all updates which means you have to collect patches that might be scattered around the internet in case you want the best outcome. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
