MadMax Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Where are the Odroid C1 images? This page is empty: https://dl.armbian.com/odroidc1/archive/ What is/was the latest stable Debian? I don't need Desktop but sound should work over HDMI. Its to bad the C1 has no support anymore. Seems to be the only board that does up to 384kHz Audio.
guidol Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 here is the latest debian buster for the C1: https://dl.armbian.com/odroidc1/nightly/Armbian_19.11.8.014_Odroidc1_buster_current_5.4.11_minimal.7z
MadMax Posted January 28, 2020 Author Posted January 28, 2020 Hm its a nightly. Is it stable and somebody working on it? Where is the old stuff like Jessie?
guidol Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 The old stuff like jessie is obsolete/unsupported and had been deleted. I think stretch is also end of support. Buster is actual und bullseye is comming.

This script https://github.com/armbian/config needs serious long term (co)maintainer. It's not a heavy job, but you need to be around on a daily basis. Once you will create trust that you will carry on, I will restart C1 maintanace. If you don't have time for that, you know the answer.
MadMax Posted February 5, 2020 Author Posted February 5, 2020 I tried Armbian_20.05.0-trunk.034_Odroidc1_buster_current_5.4.17_minimal and it does not boot. Seems like there was a Stretch version? Why are older releases that where working are deleted? I'm also confused by the naming now. The last image i downloaded a view month ago was Armbian_5.95 Now it's Armbian_19.11.3 Is that the date now? If yes what was the number meaning before? Quote I will restart C1 maintanace. So there will be support again and Armbian for C1 is not dead?

MadMax Posted February 5, 2020 Author Posted February 5, 2020 I see no stretch there. Seems like i wasted my money on that board. Seems like everything after Jessi has no working HDMI and other problems. And also DietPI stretch that they call stable does not boot.

MadMax Posted February 5, 2020 Author Posted February 5, 2020 Just now, Igor said: But you expect we will waste our time / money for you? Whats wrong? I'm not a Linux God like you and just ask questions.

You care for your money, but you don't care for our time ... which I would rather spent with my family. This project is backed by volunteers. 18 minutes ago, MadMax said: just ask questions ... support is extreme expense in a project that generate no income. It was told to you where images are. We don't claim they work (I know they don't) which is why they were removed. We don't want to waste your time and it would be nice from you to return the same. Or at least understand. Accept. I don't expect from you to do our job. There are many things you can do https://www.armbian.com/get-involved to learn things and earn respect in the community. Only that can trigger an interest from doer to do something about this issue. If you just rant and do nothing ... Resources are tiny and support is not a cheap copy / paste / re-brand operation.

sputnik Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 But seriously, guys, where's the stretch? Is there a reason it got deleted from an archives? Well, perhaps anyone still has a copy and could, i don't know, put it on some tmp location for download?
Igor Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 2 hours ago, sputnik said: Is there a reason it got deleted from an archives? Yes, the reason is that images are broken and a few afternoons are needed by someone that understand things that it gets fixed. Not sure if we will do anything more on this board ... sources are here https://github.com/armbian/build and anyone can pick it up. Archives? https://dl.armbian.com/_old/odroidc1/ and stock Hardkernel images - even also old like hell ?
