GaryC Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Just getting around to trying to setup my Helios 64 and I am unable to get it to appear under either Windows or OSX. I have removed the back panel and ensured the USB cable and micro SD are fully seated. Nothing appears so I can't flash the image to the internal eMMC. I tried MaskRom mode but RKDevTools fails. It does the following steps: Download Boot Start Download Boot Success Wait for Maskrom Start Wait for Maskrom Success Test Device Start Test Device Fail Not sure where to go now as I can't get anything to work on it. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
aprayoga Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Did you follow the instruction and binaries from the wiki ? I recall got the "Test Device Fail" message when i used old version of DriverAssistant and AndroidTool.
GaryC Posted November 26, 2020 Author Posted November 26, 2020 Yes downloaded all of the latest versions. Managed to get it flashed eventually after trying numerous times, but when connected using the Serial->USB there as a console message about CRC error. It still boots but wondered if that indicates there is an issue with the eMMC?
aprayoga Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 could you attached the log? full console message since power on
GaryC Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 Sorry for the delay in replying, been caught up with work. This is the line from the boot log: MMC: mmc@fe320000: 1, sdhci@fe330000: 0 Loading Environment from MMC... *** Warning - bad CRC, using default environment

JeffDwork Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 12 hours ago, GaryC said: Loading Environment from MMC... *** Warning - bad CRC, using default environment I also got this warning. After a few seconds of panic I realized it was because the environment section of the MMC was empty. It would be nice to add a note about this to the installation section of the wiki.
