I haven't tested using ssh yet. And yes at the time it was connected to my TV. But normally it's connected to my monitor which is 1920x1080.

ssh won't work (you don't have an address to connect to), until you have a proper LAN connection, you can't use it (judging by the log, you don't have an IP address assigned to the LAN)

Ver 20211227-current kernel 5.16-rc6 for Station P2 (rk3568) and M2 (rk3566)

Fixed LAN2. (Station P2 )
Fixed the reboot and shutdown of the Sd card.
Added support for the on/off button. Now, after switching off, you do not need to pull the power supply out of the mains, just press the button on the P2 case. Also, the operating system turns off when the button is pressed briefly.

Ver 20220211-edge kernel 5.17-rc3  20220210-edge kernel 5.16.8   20220209-legacy kernel 4.19.219

The good news is that Station M2 P2 is now included on the download page and after the official release, links to download the official versions will be available.

Hello,

I'm just finding some time to get back to working with the Stationpc P2 after being away for a couple months.  Lots of new updates and a new Bootloader and OS Assistant make getting a new OS up and running more easily now. :) My question is;  If either an M.2 or SSD are installed, will the OS Assistant recognize multiple partitions for installation of 2 OS'es on a single device and allow the selection of installation?  And then subsequently, those 2 OS options show up in the Bootloader?

I want to give a shout out to @balbes150 for his dedication and effort on getting new builds, with more improvements to Armbian (on several platforms) up and running.  It doesn't go unnoticed.  I will happily contribute to the cause.

Rick

PCI M2 is supported so far only with legacy core (4.19), there is no support for PCI M2 in the main core yet, only SATA works

will the OS Assistant

I have Armbian installed in eMMC, and I do not know how the Assistant OS works

If you're replying to my post, that was not my question.  I was curious if the Firefly bootloader and OS Assistant would recognize(and support) unique bootable partitions on either an M.2, or SSD.   I've got my M.2 working great with one partition.

i didnt

it depends how smart or stupid os-assistant program/script is not uboot .

and in my opinion you could solve your answer with just a google search

got 4 partitions and editing a extlinux.conf is easy .

What model are you writing about ?

I checked the DTB given by the link on M2, it is not working, HDMI LAN USB does not work with it. if compare the official DTS from Firefly, it has completely different parameters.

In the latest version, 20220218-edge (5.17-rc4) NVMe runs on Station M2.

i got the model you should have by now or is on the way ;)

the firefly dts is weird core and then base and then model

pcie was a little fixed months ago and lately someone noticed data corruption so they fixed that in the last 5.16, 5.17

last what i read about is that the patches are not included yet but you can find them , i see you included these usb3 and pcie patch.

the 4.19 downstream rockchip also adjusted some pcie settings

i wouldnt know if that dts works or not , proberly some litte changes it is a dts from the 5.13-14

and yeah comparing a downstream dts with a mainline is not 1 to 1 but you know that , but for mainline it is easy you have a good working dts for the quartz64 to begin a port for a m2 only a shematic a your almost done :)

Cycled through all baudrates and just getting garbage.

Are you using minicom? Sometimes the baud rate is set to 1000000 or something really high and minicom only goes up to 150000. Try tmux or screen.

I'm using picocomm, also tried minicom and putty on windows.

Most importantly, which port should it be? RS232_2 _3 or RS485 with a RS458 to USB adapter?

Thanks!

Hello,

can i use image 20220220-5.16 for Station M2 with Pine64 Quartz64 ?
Thanks in advance

Hi, you can try, but take care of changing the dtb to use quartz64. My last try was successful and most basic features were working well.

Which model do you want to build an image for ?

I have 3 boards - Pine64 SOQuartz, Quartz64-A and X88 Pro 20.

Now i build ubuntu (thanks @choggy13 from pine64 forum and github).

But armbian more preffered for me (i use armbian for other boards-RPi, NanoPi, etc.).

I found patches for Quartz64-A dts in armbian/build but can't find Quartz64 dts in tree.

How does Multi Boot bootloader affect Armbian in any way?

The current version of Firefly multi-boot (which is installed in SPI) uses an outdated startup scheme that cannot work with new versions of Armbian. I am communicating with the Firefly developers to fix this issue.

Additional settings are needed to get a working image.

In the near future I plan to add CSC settings for quartz64.
