I can't get wifi rt5370 working at banana pi m1 on Ubuntu xenial default desktop.

dmesg show:
phy1 -> rt2x00lib_request_firmware: Error - Failed to request Firmware.

Looks like modules(rt2x00usb,rt2800lib,rt2800usb) are loadede but wifi still don't work.

Stil get

"phy1 -> rt2x00lib_request_firmware: Error - Failed to request Firmware."

I thought rt5370 requires open drivers rt2800lib,rt2800usb,rt2x00usb.

It works fine out of the box on intel pc with this drivers, I was able to run it on same bananapi with openwrt.

What can this message about firmware mean...?

My device RT5370

1) INTEL

I tried it on intel PC. It works fine.

dmesg has line

[ 4098.489842] ieee80211 phy1: rt2x00_set_rf: Info - RF chipset 5370 detected

[ 4098.525834] ieee80211 phy1: rt2x00lib_request_firmware: Info - Loading firmware file 'rt2870.bin'

2) BANAN

dmesg has lines

[ 16.911706] usbcore: registered new interface driver rt2870
[   22.671287] phy0 -> rt2x00lib_request_firmware: Error - Failed to request Firmware.

Intel has file /usr/lib/firmware/rt2870.bin          ---  Banan has file /lib/firmware/rt2870.bin

intel doesn't have loaded module rt5370sta      --- Banan has loaded module rt5370sta

May be banan doesn't know about file rt2870.bin?
