The freedombox.org is libre software. The software provides a server

solution having a list of preinstalled programs.

This post is about if the orange pi one can get

a libre software version of the freedombox installed on it.

The orangepi one is interesting because

of its price and performance.

What determines if you can install a libre software image on an

arm computer?

Is it uboot support?

Can you install a libre software version of the freedombox on

an orange pi one? The freedombox people say, if you can

install pure debian on an arm computer, you can install the

freedombox too. Can I ask people on this forum about

instructions?

You may say, why do you not ask on freedombox's

email list? Because I think the freedombox

people already have a lot to do.

About power suppliers, I have seen 2a and 3a mentioned.

Can you use a 2a power supply?

Thank you.

I am not familiar with freedombox but if they say so it must work. Armbian is pure Debian. You need any Debian based image for any of supported boards (perhaps it works on Ubuntu as well) and this: https://salsa.debian.org/freedombox-team/freedombox-setup
