  4. Hello. I'm trying to run Armbian on an Acemak KII TV box (Amlogic S812 processor). From the page https://armbian.com/boards/aml-s805-mxq I downloaded the Armbian image Armbian_community_26.2.0-trunk.792_Aml-s805-mxq_trixie_current_6.12.28_minimal.img Using Win32DiskImager, I burned the Armbian image to a MicroSD card. In the armbianEnv.txt file, in the dtb_file line, I specified the path: dtb_file=/dtb/meson8m2-mxiii-plus.dtb I inserted the MicroSD card into the TV box. The TV box boots, Ethernet works, but there is no HDMI signal on the monitor. I tried specifying different dtb file variants in armbianEnv.txt. I found that if I specify the path dtb_file=/dtb/ meson8b-mxq.dtb , HDMI works (the console is displayed), but Ethernet doesn't. I decompiled the meson8b-mxq.dtb and meson8m2-mxiii-plus.dtb files, but I can't combine the files so that both Ethernet and HDMI work. I've attached the decompiled files. Please help me prepare a combined .dtb file meson8m2-mxiii-plus.dts meson8b-mxq.dts
  5. In case someone finds this useful, I found a way to change the display mode from NTSC (default) to PAL NTSC to PAL: xrandr --output Composite-1 --set "TV mode" PAL xrandr --output Composite-1 --mode 720x576i PAL to NTSC: xrandr --output Composite-1 --set "TV mode" NTSC xrandr --output Composite-1 --mode 720x480i I thought I would have to recompile the whole kernel because the patch isn't working properly but these two commands did the trick. I don't know how to make this permanent but it works in the terminal.
  6. At the very end of each compile.sh run there is a "curl" command which allows to upload the full build log to a paste service. This can also be done automatically by adding "SHARE_LOG=yes" to the command line. The URL is present at the very end of the process.
  7. I tried logging it but doing a `|grep` or any `> file.log` to `./compile.sh` and the script DOES NOT like it. I had to CTRL+C out of the compile to get that log... it seems to build the dtb's at the beginning of the compilation (good thing for me)
  8. vkmark works on the Sway desktop. The mainline GPU driver still needs some work. I added A7A and A7S support; however, the A7S still needs to be tested. https://github.com/NickAlilovic/build/tree/Radxa-mainline-WIP I am using Debian Trixie with the XFCE desktop environment. A popup message should appear for the Sway installation. Please note that I haven't tested this configuration on other settings.
  9. loading the current debian trixie image for nanopc-t6 the reset button on the box stops working after boot-up. the vendor kernel works without issue. Any tips to troubleshoot or patch?
  10. Full build logs?
  11. https://github.com/siderolabs/sbc-rockchip/issues/103 I'm trying to apply this patch, but I think i'm doing something wrong it doesn't seem to be working. I'm getting the same behavior. What am i doing wrong?
  12. @Ducdanh Nguyen Your board is using a HiSilicon Hi3798MV310. I have no experience with this SoC. The kernel sources for this SoC are too old. You are better off finding another cheap box to run Armbian.

  14. @KV1 I've fixed the build issue above: https://github.com/MarvellEmbeddedProcessors/A3700-utils-marvell/pull/36. I don't think anyone at Marvell pays attention to this old repo anymore so I don't expect it will actually be merged.
  15. Yes it looks like but with reboot on Ornage Pi zero back. After fixing the problem with kernel 6.12.xx https://github.com/armbian/build/issues/8197 now when we use kernel like 6.18.24 we can not reboot OZPI v1. When we run 'reboot' it is rather to power off so it looks like it is a problem with Crust https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/8503 it wille nice to fix this problem with reboot in kernel 6.18.x like was fixed in 6.12.x I know that the Orange Pi Zero platform is on community support, but maybe there will be a volunteer who will fix this problem. but extraargs=reboot=watchdog help solve problem
  16. Thank you for your kind words. For RK3229, I thought it's supported by mainline kernel and you can easily install using method provided by Jock?
  17. I’ve updated the kernel and Armbian image with the following improvements: RKNAND driver enhancements: Significantly improved stability, even on very old and degraded NAND flash. Testing was performed on an 8GB NAND device with over 2TB of writes and more than 3000 erase cycles (as reported by /proc/rknand). The system runs reliably under these conditions, whereas the original Android ROM fails to boot. ESP8089 driver improvements: Increased stability when handling large packets. Docker support added Release Files Kernel 6.6: https://github.com/chieunhatnang-personal/linux-kernel-6.6-rk3128-tvbox/releases/tag/stable-1.1 If you are already running the image, download the .deb packages and place them in a directory (e.g., /tmp). Then run: dpkg -i /tmp/*.deb Reboot after installation. Armbian Image: https://github.com/chieunhatnang-personal/RK3128-Linux-SupportingScripts/releases/tag/kernel-6.6-armbian-26-v1.1
  18. We have information on which mirrors are good and which bad. We just don't display it. Good are passed to the redirector.
  19. anyone try on jellyfin? docker jellyfin especially?
  20. @Сан Дич Хуу, good day! How was the process of replacing the kernel and DTB? Is the device working now?
  21. Ok, thanks for such a fast reaction...will have to buy the module, thanks:-)...until it arrives, i will boot from sd, and have system on nvme - found that option under Install on another device in armbian-config. Regards Jan
  22. @slmq It was quite ago, so I don't remember everything. But I wonder you have a SPI Flash Module. If you want to boot from NVMe, you need this (just for 5C lite only). There is one more thing that I did not mention above. If you'ld like to use Btrfs, `/boot` has to ext4 (or fat32). However, using Btrfs needs more effort(or shoud I say trick?) than just doing dd. Here's my lsblk.
  23. Hi, still have problem with 5C lite and NVME. When i boot form SD, lsblk shows ZRAM, MMCBLK and NVME - when I install Armbian to NVME it boots from SSD only once and then, after seting up user and enviroment lsblk shows only zram and nvme...and next boot is KO. I have tried all the magic with SPI overlay on RADXA OS, in lsblk there is zram, mmcblk1 with three partitions and nvme - but when updating SPI BOOT, there is following error: radxa@rock-5c:~$ lsblk NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINTS mmcblk1 179:0 0 29G 0 disk ├─mmcblk1p1 179:1 0 16M 0 part /config ├─mmcblk1p2 179:2 0 300M 0 part /boot/efi └─mmcblk1p3 179:3 0 28.6G 0 part / zram0 253:0 0 7.8G 0 disk [SWAP] nvme0n1 259:0 0 953.9G 0 disk └─nvme0n1p1 259:1 0 944.3G 0 part radxa@rock-5c:~$ sudo rsetup [sudo] password for radxa: /usr/lib/u-boot/rock-5c-spi/setup.sh: line 3: ERROR_REQUIRE_FILE: readonly variable /usr/lib/u-boot/rock-5c-spi/setup.sh: line 4: ERROR_ILLEGAL_PARAMETERS: readonly variable /usr/lib/u-boot/rock-5c-spi/setup.sh: line 5: ERROR_REQUIRE_TARGET: readonly variable /dev/mtd0 is missing. also kernel is weird... radxa@rock-5c:~$ uname -r 6.1.84-8-rk2410 I'm maybe too carefull, but I know, I wouldn't be able to fix broken bootloader:-] So please help, if you can Tried both vendor and current kernels (6.18 and 6.1) but results are the same Regards Jan
  24. Did you ever get this working?
  25. I have running v26.2.1 for Odroid HC4 running Armbian Linux 6.18.10-current-meson64
  26. I found an old post from 4 years ago about this: odroid hc4 wake on lan wol Just curious if anyone has a solution? Thanks for any help
