lanefu Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 @lanefu I don't quite understand what you mean by that? I guess I need vacations, since my brains are throttling Just create topic and one of mods will pin it. https://github.com/lanefu/armbianDocsAndProcess/blob/master/ArmbianTaskTracking.md This should once go to "user manual", when we finish with the technology issues. @Igor Sorry wrong terminology.... I meant can you create a SubForm for tasks... Effectively each issue will be a topic.
lanefu Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) @all I'm creating Issue's and Topics for the tasks defined in the top of this thread. It may cause some redundancy. I apologize for that confusing Status here: https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib/milestones/claimed%20tasks Dialog here: http://forum.armbian.com/index.php/forum/15-armbian-tasks/ Task Management Process Documented Here: https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib.docs/blob/master/docs/%5BProcess%5D-Armbian-Task-Tracking.md Edited July 2, 2016 by lanefu
Igor Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 @Igor Where I can find source of Armbian logo in *.psd? logo_with_font.zip
lanefu Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Hmmm.. so was my task tracking process kind of a bust?
Igor Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Hmmm.. so was my task tracking process kind of a bust? We need this on a long term but any new idea or paradigm switch needs time, perhaps some encouragement. Persistence 1
lanefu Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 We need this on a long term but any new idea or paradigm switch needs time, perhaps some encouragement. Persistence Cool... I coudlnt tell how much you guys were into it. but yeah it takes time and lots of re-enforcement. Are you on holiday? Anyway we can catch up on it when the time is right.
Igor Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Are you on holiday? Anyway we can catch up on it when the time is right. Yes, until 24th. No hard work in the mean time 1
miked Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Cool... I coudlnt tell how much you guys were into it. but yeah it takes time and lots of re-enforcement. Yes, and reminders. All the info we need is here: http://docs.armbian.com/Process_Armbian-Task-Tracking/ ? Everything feels in a state of flux, I easily lose track of what's temporary/experimental and what's up-to-date, and stuff can get lost in a sea of posts. Extra reminders are probably helpful until everyone gets the hang of things? Are we encouraged to post more task status updates, even if not a lot of progress has been made?
Igor Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Yes, and reminders. I hope we will overcome this feeling soon. Are we encouraged to post more task status updates, even if not a lot of progress has been made? Forum already produces more content than it's normally possible to consume on daily / weekly basis - if you wanna read all and reply to some. This means, one need to make a selection what will follow. I think updating "Armbian Tasks" sub forum might help to encourage. This way we can also catch any misinterpretation and clear out issues before time is wasted.

Yep the process is in the doc.. and it welcomes feedback and improvements. And yes frequent updates to task status is a great thing. Any level of progress demonstrates that something is being cared for... also a great way to bring more participation.
0x0 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 (edited) Greetings, my friends. About a month ago, I got into a car accident and am still in the hospital with a broken arm, and little damage to the skull. My mother has already received your gift - Orange Pi, thank you very much. But now I can not work on my task, please understand. I'm sorry for it. In late August, I will continue my job, I hope. This is my car. Edited October 2, 2016 by goldfish_paris OMG: lucky you
Igor Posted August 10, 2016 Author Posted August 10, 2016 Glad that you are O.K.! Don't worry. We manage the basics about docs design and the rest will wait until your recovery.
Gravelrash Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Is there any interest in me creating a packaging script for the following from github https://github.com/oblique/create_ap Given the number of people who want wifi on there devices, i think it would be useful to give another option to compliment the already predefined interfaces you provide. I note that you have already patched hostapd to work with the onboard wifi adaptors. so there really shouldnt be much to do to this
Igor Posted August 25, 2016 Author Posted August 25, 2016 I am keeping an eye on this project for some time, but never try to use this tool. I usually do it manually. If it works good, why not. But not soon ... we added/changed lots of stuff during a summer. (List can be found in release document) ... after release and bugfix release. If you go for this you at least have lots of time to test. Try wit self build images, xenial and jessie, which are already changed, but with some bugs ... at the time of writing. Wrote on mobile phone
Gravelrash Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 understood - I have been using the above script on various devices for about a year and it seems to do the trick rather well.
vincele Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Hello @tkaiser, @technik007_cz, Is the task/reward thing still ongoing ? How is the task armbian-test-reliability advancing ? I would like to help, f.e. by doing the linpack packaging for a start. Looks like cpuminer is already done manually in armbianmonitor script, but wouldn't a deb packaging script be better ? I could also do that... Would other things from https://linux-sunxi.org/Benchmarks be of interest ?
Igor Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Currently we don't have resources to deal with the logistical part of this "task - reward" thing but we appreciate help with or without this. I could probably get some more boards but I need to check to confirm. Task statuses can be found here: https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib/issues
technik007_cz Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I would like to help, f.e. by doing the linpack packaging for a start. Hi vincele, it is good idea. If you can make script which download latest source and make deb it will be perfect. I do not know if there are new version coming but it is better for future than some static stuff.
