After upgrade to Bullseye 5.15.26 I can't enable spi-dev on my board. Previously I used Buster 5.3.9 and everything worked well, after upgrade /dev/spidev0.0 dissappeared.
Board is working fine (reinstalled 5.3.9 and SPI working). Is there any trick which need to be made to enable it ?

Hello,
I am also having a problem with spidev. I am using Banana-pi-m2-zero with ARMBIAN based Ubuntu Focal. I can't enable spi-dev. I have write in armbiancomfig.txt the following:

overlays=cpu-clock-1.3GHz-1.3v i2c0 spi-spidev

param_spidev_spi_bus=0

param_spidev_spi_cs=0

Checking the kernel logs with "dmesg | grep spidev" no show relevant info.

Reading other posts: Do I have to change sun8i-h3-spi-spidev.dtbo?
I have seen similar problem with this processor:https://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=15395

I have the same problem with spidev on Orange Pi Zero. I tryed to use Armbian_22.02.1_Orangepizero_focal_current_5.15.25 and it didn't work. To make it work I had to use version of Armbian_21.08.1_Orangepizero_focal_current_5.10.60 without upgrade

Try downgrade kernel version via armbian-config.

My board(not orangepi tho) also had a kernel issue and it was gone after downgrade kernel version to 5.10

This problem was fixed but hasn't been released yet. Once it will be, there won't be any need for searching and switching to older kernels, where this function was still working.
