PinG Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Please, help!How i can set resolution - 800x480??
jernej Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 You can choose only PAL or NTSC for TV out. Neither of those offer 800x480 resolution.
PinG Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 did you try to use h3disp as root user? I use "sudo h3disp -m 31", but after reboot - black screen or "no signal"...
tkaiser Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 I use "sudo h3disp -m 31", but after reboot - black screen or "no signal"...Yeah, you configured an HDMI mode on a board without HDMI. Everything as expected. Maybe trying to understand jernej's answer and search through the forum first? @Igor/@zador: maybe adding to 'known issues' that TV Out is not useable in any reasonable mode with sun8i? But I fear that won't prevent the board's target audience buying the Zero instead of One/Lite/PC to save some bucks and get the wrong device.
Ford Prefect Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 You can choose only PAL or NTSC for TV out. Neither of those offer 800x480 resolution. +1 Refresh rate may be of importance too 640x480 60Hz for NTSC 720x576 50Hz for PAL
PinG Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 640x480 60Hz for NTSC In h3disp no such ...
tkaiser Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 How set? height = 480 width <= 800 You can't. Forget about TV Out, it's not working as intended since driver is limited and no one will spend time on fixing this.
PinG Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 But why Orange Pi Zero can't use more resolution, if he can decode and view HD video officially?
PinG Posted January 24, 2017 Author Posted January 24, 2017 Because there is no HDMI connector. But Orange Pi Zero haven't HDMI connector, and has support for HD video! Where logic!??
Igor Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 That's just copy / paste marketing bullshit which you should not fall on it in the first place. Be happy: at least you didn't throw away a lot of money.
