Werner Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Quote edge If you use bleeding edge software issues are expected. Try 6.1.y kernel. Also take note that there are two versions of this board on the market. 1.1 has known issues with ethernet. Broken by design. Only fixable by software to a certain extend. Blame vendor. 0 Quote
xaja34 Posted November 27 Author Posted November 27 Thanks Werner. 6.10.11-edge-rockchip64 worked fine. I guess there is no way to go back to this version. Unfortunately I didn't save an image. Bll 0 Quote
xaja34 Posted November 27 Author Posted November 27 To follow up: I have 4 orange pi 3b boards - 3 version 1.1 and one version 2.1. The 6.12.1-edge-rockchip64 kernel didn't work on the 1.1 boards but worked on the 2.1 board Vendoe 6.1.75 worked on both. 0 Quote
BladeCoder Posted December 5 Posted December 5 Just upgraded my Orange Pi 3B v1. 1 yesterday to the latest 6.12.1 kernel and it didn't boot anymore. Renamed the DTS file in ArmbianEnv.txt to specify the correct version v1.1 and it boots with no network adapter. In kernel log I see: cannot attach to phy (error -19) What are my options? Do I need to downgrade the kernel and how? When I installed this board only the edge kernel was available for it, how can I switch to the stable 6.1.75 without reinstalling everything? 0 Quote
SteeMan Posted December 5 Posted December 5 @BladeCoder The official way to switch kernel versions is via armbian-config 0 Quote
