mlampert Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I saw some initial work on supporting uugear's vivid unit (rk3399 based). I was wondering in what state that is, what is required to complete that work and if there are plans to add that support to the mainline? Thanks in advance, Markus 0 Quote
Werner Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Which of these boards are you refering to? https://github.com/armbian/build/tree/main/config/boards 0 Quote
mlampert Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 I'm referring to this board: https://www.vividunit.com/Main_Page tonymac32 has a branch for it on https://github.com/Tonymac32/build/tree/vivid but it hasn't gotten updated in a while and is not merged into the main repo. 0 Quote
Igor Posted November 10 Posted November 10 We have discontinued maintenance and support for this hardware, as our collaboration agreement with the vendor did not move forward as planned. 0 Quote
mlampert Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 I guess that would answer the last part of my question, thanks. Any comments on the work in that branch? 0 Quote

You are welcome to use it and continue development on your own. Armbian is primarily a build framework, and our capacity for maintaining hardware is very limited — typically to just a few boards or platforms. Tony played a key role in this effort, though he may not be available to continue contributing in his personal time. Getting to this point was already a loss of our precious time. 0 Quote
