  2. The clicking sound comes from the HDD because it tries to spin up (I can hear a weak sound of the motor trying to start). The power controller on the M1 board feeds some voltage to the USB connector even after power down but with not enough current. So the issue is with the power management controller which does not switch the USB voltage fully off.

  4. I would run: gpiomon --consumer 433MHz --edges both --format "%S %E" con1-07 | tee 433MHz.log I would let gnuplot chew on the result of the gpiomon run to visualize (433MHz.pdf) it, because I can interpret an image better than any columns of numbers. This is a program that is over thirty years old and works on almost every platform and can be used in any environment, and you can only complain that it is not a special solution and that you don't have to rebuild half the system yourself, but that doesn't bother me. After I have identified the relevant places, I would take the corresponding timeings from the log and thus generate a suitable gpioset command that imitates the original.
  5. I need to use it for replace old NAS for my home and merge office server cloud, now split in two device. It's perfetct for split ethernet source for home and office data transfer.
  6. How to configure headless similar to the instructions in HardKernel's Wiki? https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-xu4/application_note/software/headless_setup?s[]=headless#change_resolution_in_xorgconf I'm guessing the device is different?... Also what wold be the rest of the xorg.conf settings? The wiki page only shows the part that should be modified. Thanks.
  7. Hi Pessimism, I have this box ( purchased from same vendor) it worked well for me,.....since I've mistakenly deleted the build.prop file in root/system. Would you mind to send me the file? Tks for your help. Regards Pietro

  9. Hello. Sorry for my english. I have OrangePi3 LTS and BTT TFT35 SPI v2.1 with ili9488. I am trying to connect display to orangepi via SPI, but I dont have ili9488 driver in fbtft folder. When I am building fbtft with ili9488 from github https://github.com/Snitro/fbtft-ili9488, I am getting error. 10. Checking the dts for upstream 6.6, I see the patch applied to 6.1 kernel only is applied. This is my suspect, I need to build a custom image with the custom patch and give the feedback I got.
  11. Hi all. I am new to Arm and Linux in general. Got me a Raspberry pi5 several days ago and was going trough different OS systems so i can settle on one final choice. Landed in the Armbian community and tested the Armbian Bookworn / Gnome distro and was amazed how smooth and good looking this is. The only problem i have is the lack of preinstalled Widevine support. I know (and also tested) that Raspberry OS does have DRM playback support trough Widevine. So it works with the latest 64bit Arm Linux Kernel, right ? So i even went and extracted the Widevine folder form the RpOS system.... Now, several days after i am clueless on how to install Widevine and make the Chcromium browser use it. Went trough a ton of content in the web but am not that advanced to do it myself. ( i have also tested a KDE plasma build that have this functionality already built in, but i really want to use the Armbian platform) Can someone help me trough the process ?
  12. Hi all. I installed Armbian_community_24.5.0-trunk.667 firmware with multitool. _Rk322x-box_bookworm_current_6.6.31. After I wanted to put more outdated firmware Armbian 21.05.1, but now I can not run multitool from microSD, constantly loaded u-boot 2024.01, when trying to boot from a flash drive with u-boot shows that multitool has a corrupted kernel, although before the firmware 24.5.0 was all normal, please help.
  13. Kil, have you tired the miniarch images? you might find a u-boot that works with your box. The u-boot I have is for AXP313. This could be the reason why your box doesn't show anything. You need a u-boot with AXP305. If you can't find a miniarch image that boots. You need to compile a new u-boot with your Dram settings and AXP305. Use the Dram Settings I got from your .DTS file. Download the lastest mainline u-boot. This is what you need to edit. /configs/transpeed-8k618-t_defconfig /arm/dts/sun50i-h618-transpeed-8k618-t.dts /arch/arm/dts/Makefile https://github.com/warpme/miniarch/releases https://source.denx.de/u-boot/u-boot https://docs.u-boot.org/en/latest/board/allwinner/sunxi.html Sorry Kil, I don't have your box and time to do this for you. I can only provide information. Without console output there's nothing I can do. Are you using baud rate 115200? If you need more help ask the Sunxi guys at: https://oftc.irclog.whitequark.org/linux-sunxi/2024-05-23
  14. Hi! Does anyone know any download links for the latest prebuilt image with legacy kernel? I have a MXQ 4k box with NAND and I couldn't find anything newer than Armbian 22.02.0. Thanks.
  15. I have (hopefully) fixes ZFS on all variants yesterday, but haven't tested on Debian yet. Works fine on Ubuntu based builds, ZFS v2.2.4. If you have time to test, beta.armbian.com should have proper packages: https://k-space.ee.armbian.com/beta/pool/bookworm-utils/z/zfs-linux/
  16. This device looks good to build a new NAS for me 🙂
  17. Nand options were not removed at all from latest multitool. Those options are just hidden if the NAND is not detected. You should check lsblk and dmesg to see if rknand device appears and maybe post dmesg log here too.
  18. It should autodetect the device if it is properly working and enable the dtb overlay in /boot/armbianEnv.txt automatically; you should not need to select anything. You mileage may vary, though.
  19. @jock, do you still have the multitool Build: 52d0101? Can I have the link to download? I would like to use the option (6) install jump start on nand and (7) install armbian via steP-nand. These options where removed in the latest build of multitool. I want to avoid the option 5 which is burn image to flash to avoid bricking my device. Thanks.
  20. I put the following into /etc/apt/preferences.d/zfs in order to have apt prefer the Debian bookworm-backports ZFS packages to the armbian ones that are imported from Debian trixie (and currently not installable due to the t64 issue); # Prefer Debian backports for zfs to armbian Package: libnvpair3linux libuutil3linux libzfs4linux libzpool5linux zfs-dkms zfsutils-linux Pin: release o=Debian Backports Pin-Priority: 900
  21. for H618 simply try the mainline uboot and kernel >= 6.6 various things has gone into mainline u-boot and kernel that makes it run on Orange Pi Zero 3 one could perhaps even try the Orange Pi Zero 3 image to see how that goes
  22. Howdy. I m running a Helios64 on Armbian 21.02.1 Buster with Linux 5.10.63-rockchip64. I realise this is somewhat old, but it works for me. I have been using MergerFS to present a big "vritual" storage area on my server: jon@OXYGEN:~$ more /etc/fstab UUID=a79a14c0-3cf4-4fb9-a6c6-838571351371 / ext4 defaults,noatime,nodiratime,commit=600,errors=remount-ro 0 1 tmpfs /tmp tmpfs defaults, nosuid 0 0 # "Disk 2" = /dev/sda3 = 8d360e1c-1908-4d8d-8289-2b1c83604950 UUID=8d360e1c-1908-4d8d-8289-2b1c83604950 /srv/mnt/disk2 btrfs defaults,noatime,nodiratime,nofail,subvol=@data 0 2 # "Disk 3" = /dev/sdb2 = eceee45f-5be5-48ba-a928-8f61686923b0 UUID=eceee45f-5be5-48ba-a928-8f61686923b0 /srv/mnt/disk3 btrfs defaults,noatime,nodiratime,nofail,subvol=@data 0 2 # "Disk 4" = /dev/sdc3 = 8ba04a0d-92eb-44e5-a4f0-99ebe2431b22 UUID=8ba04a0d-92eb-44e5-a4f0-99ebe2431b22 /srv/mnt/disk4 btrfs defaults,noatime,nodiratime,nofail,subvol=@data 0 2 # "Disk 5" = /dev/sdd3 = c3f0e61b-67af-4b35-acb8-e6698f8c9f64 UUID=c3f0e61b-67af-4b35-acb8-e6698f8c9f64 /srv/mnt/disk5 btrfs defaults,noatime,nodiratime,nofail,subvol=@data 0 2 # MergerFS - aggregate the mounted disks together /srv/mnt/disk2:/srv/mnt/disk3:/srv/mnt/disk4:/srv/mnt/disk5 /srv/mnt/virtual fuse.mergerfs defaults,allow_other,use_ino,fsname=/srv/mnt/virtual 0 0 I have recently begun exporting this virtual disk via nfs. So, to me, it seems that the MergerFS-provided "virtual" filesystem at /srv/mnt/virtual is not ready at the time that the NFS service is starting up. Does anyone know: 1. whether I can modify the definition of the NFS Service, within systemd, so that it starts up later in the boot process? Am I able to define a dependency on some other filesystem service that has yet to be started? 2. whether I can define something else that gets kicked off late in the boot process, which simply attempts to restart the NFS Server service, in the hope that by this late stage in the boot process the MergerFS location is "ready"? Many thanks, Jon
  23. So far no, but I'm reading up on it and plan to
  24. @jock I will, check that option and i'll let you know. Additionally, is it possible to produce a dualboot of this device in order not to touch the Stock firmware (luckily I have a backup)? I'm thinking having a sd card with armbian and when extracting SD, boot to Stock Firmware? Or perhaps do the inverse and make a usb dongle/SD with the Stock firmware and install armbian in the nand.

  26. Here you can make a donation. Thank you. That "Ubuntu" was in 99.99% developed by Armbian and other open source projects. Orangepi is HW dealer. They only care that hw features works. They never pushed fixes to common code. We have to spent our private time if we want to port / fix their HW bugs & features to better common code which is the only one maintained and which is in your interest to run it. Software you are so happy to use is on this level. We are maintaining software together and this issue was not closed. Do you really believe unmaintained promo software have only one problem? 😁
