  2. Is that arm'ish enough?
  3. "other" is an option for choosing tag. moved.
  4. This might be an option for you as well: https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager Lightweight, runs on many OS, no spyware controversy
  5. I guess so. Basic USB Support is built into Armbian. Everything beyond is handle in userspace.
  6. https://docs.armbian.com/Developer-Guide_Build-Preparation/ No guarantee that this will work with your device.
  7. Hey there, from time to time we have to decide on which boards we drop the maintained status and stop development in order to keep (or try at least) the workload for us at a controllable level. These boards are not necessarily end-of-life (EOL) but reached a decent enough state to let them go from active development. Though after today's developer meeting we are unsure how to name these boards. Therefore we ask our community what they think. Let us know by either voting or leaving a comment below. Thank you for your feedback!
  8. tar.gz means it is a compressed tarball. Extract it via code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } tar xf whateveryourfilenameis.tar.gz and then check its contents for further proceeding.

  12. Kind a like this: https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/4611

  14. From what a quick research (e.g. google Archer T2U Nano) revealed the WiFi adapter should work with rtl8812au drivers which are included by default in Armbian. Installing the "armbian-firmware-full" package might be necessary. Available via apt.
  15. moved to tvboxes
  16. Up/downgrades within userspaces (Bionic -> Focal, Buster -> Bullsyey) are neither tested nor supported. The reason is the simple lack of (human) res sources to test such scenarios. Kinetic is an Ubuntu non-LTS intermediate release which receive no support from Armbian. They are mostly there as playground for developers. Only Bullseye and Jammy builds are supported.
  17. Wouldn't it be easier to simply ask for it? I mean I would not tell but hey...
  18. PCIe is fully broken by design on H6 SoC. There were some community efforts (mainly by Icenowy) to wrote some hacks that "translate" the broken part into usable data but not sure how successful that was. In conclusion if you want to rely on PCIe avoid Allwinner H6. Also I strongly recommend avoiding tvboxes. For once they are not officially supported (and most likely never will) and for the other these things are sold as cheap as possible and vendors tell you everything that is necessary (including lies like claiming H6 tvbox has 4G of memory which is technically impossible) to make you buy their crap. Also there is a chance that even tough buying the same product as somebody else that internal components change without telling you and breaking potential ways to install Armbian. Solving such issues is up to you. Check https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_FAQ/#i-have-a-tv-boxtablet-from-insert-random-vendor-can-i-use-armbian-on-it I personally have a pihole running for years on an Orange Pi One. Yes, that low budged Allwinner H3 with 512M of memory. It is way enough for that purpose. Orange Pi Zero (the older one with H2+ SoC) could do the same with smaller package but no HDMI (who needs monitor anyways when you have SSH). Its onboard Wi-Fi is crap though so don't rely on it.

  20. Then go to the source of download and ask them for help. Check your post above for reasons why.
  21. I assume the audio chip or some sort of circuit is disabled once no longer audio is played. I don't know a fix but maybe as a workaround try playing an either very quite or high/low tone that keeps it enabled. This distinctively cracking noise is known across all audio equipment where on better this issue is mitigated while on cheaper mostly ignored
