Mainline kernel

Is there any chance to run mainline kernel? Support for rk3588 seems to be starting with 6.2 and 6.3 (mainline has dts for rock 5b).

Anyone know if this is any closer?

This board, like the "FriendlyElec NanoPC-T6" and the "Rockchip Rock5b" utilize the rk3588 SOC. 

Both of these other boards have the following line in their respective files linked below

current version for rockchip-rk3588-collabora is 6.4

current version for rockchip-rk3588-edge is 6.5-rc1

 

Anyone know why the OPi5+ is stuck with only the Legacy 5.10?

I am very new as this is my first SBC really and don't know if I can just change the line in the .conf file or if there are other things I would also need to change

@buzzfab i implemented 6.5-rc1 support for opi5 in the past. I'll also add support for opi5+ this week or next week 

 

Note: It's experimental, most thing is not mainlined yet.

Once operational, remember to enable for nightly builds. I just added Rock 5 yesterday https://github.com/armbian/os/commit/c18ab86105e88571453afadf9dd72432a94b75b1
