    M4 Died

The point of the discussion is to ascertain whether the board is truly dead - which I believe it is and that's the point.. using a volt-meter to see if power is still on the important powerlines lines with your normal powering setup.. in case yes.. connect the UART and look if you get an output.. in case the main powerrails are dead.. the board is for sure dead as well..

apt-get update errors, what do they mean?

ign is ignore - when there is nothing new or not needed = no error W is in most logging files a Warning. you have a double entry in line 2 (without a #) is the same as in line 4 security.debian.org/updates and there main. you could comment out the second line as line 4 has it all from security

    Armbian for Amlogic S9xxx kernel 4.1x (>= ver 5.55)

Your box is bricked. See how to unbrick on Freaktab website. or google "how to unbrick my Amlogic tv box". Also, please don't post off-topic anymore in this thread, since at this point this has nothing to do with Armbian.
  12. Hello all, Since a good year I'm using several Orange Pi's,yes several... And while doing some apt update/upgrade I'll see errors and want to know how to handle... 1) Showing up : Get:45 http://apt.armbian.com jessie/jessie-desktop Translation-en [178 B] Ign http://apt.armbian.com jessie/jessie-desktop Translation-en Question: What does this "Ign" mean and what to do that this error disappear? 2) Showing up on the end : Reading package lists... Done W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates/main armhf Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/security. debian.org_dists_jessie_updates_main_binary-armhf_Packages) W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems root@spotnik:/etc/apt# Question 1: what does the letter "W" mean ? Question 2: I don't see duplicate in the sources.list which is in /etc/apt here a copy: # Debian Jessie, d p t principal deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ jessie main # Debian Jessie, mises jour de s curit deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main # Debian Jessie, d p t principal + paquets non libres deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free # Debian Jessie, mises jour de s curit + paquets non libres deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main contrib non-free # Debian Jessie, d p t de r troportages ("backports") #deb http://archive.debian.org/debian/ jessie-backports main contrib non-free Maybe i didn't understood all this entries.. explanation is welcome Kind regards from Hans F4VSJ on the RRF network with Orange Pi Spotnik

Armbian for OrangePi PC2, AllWinner H5

It should be fine. https://linux-sunxi.org/images/a/a3/Allwinner_H5_Manual_v1.0.pdf "For reliability and operability concerns, the absolute maximum junction temperature of H5 has to be below 125°C"

    Adding Debian buster

Here. I only made one image which boots with a few failed items. I never tried upgrade on SBC ... it will probably work even our special packages are not there yet.

    Adding Debian buster

repository update via /etc/apt/sources.list? from "stretch" to "buster"? on the build-system or the sbc?
  16. Igor

    Adding Debian buster

    - to build engine (EXPERT="yes") - repository update with the purpose for adding it (armbian-config and armbian-firmware update everywhere)

If there's no light while powered then I believe it's dead. If you did try another cable, psu, sd-card, os, measure voltage from psu, from usb ports? Then you're going to have to contact your seller or sales at friendlyarm dot com.

    GPIO interferes with I2C

    What "cat /sys/kernel/debug/gpio" reveals ?
  23. Unfortunately I had also tried a solution on the forum but with a negative result. I will try to experiment the same in case I have to come to a solution I will put it here at the disposal of the community. Thanks anyway for the answers Martinayotte. Thanks to the Armbian team for the wonderful job.

In case you wish to confirm, APritzel wrote a small test tool that check the timer during few seconds and display or not if there are errors : https://github.com/apritzel/pine64/blob/master/tools/test_timer.c
