HI to all,

excuse me but this is my first msg.

I have a OPI3 board and I try different OS (Arabian, Ubuntu, Debian) all in different release but I do not have wifi and lan.

for wifi I have already try with copy firmware file but is is the same

for lan I have in dmesg eth0. UP and DOWN.

In my experience I have found only Ubuntu Xenial 4.9.118 on the Orange.org web site with wifi OK.

can you help me?

Thanks

Providing logs with

armbianmonitor -u

helps with troubleshooting and significantly raises chances that issue gets addressed.

Use USB UART adapter or USB stick to extract the data if necessary.

Which image did you use?

You could try to go back to an older kernel.

Tricky without network access. However legacy should work and 5.8.y kernel is also known to work.

If it is indeed Arabian and not Armbian I think this is not the right place for you.

I also did not know that Raspberrypi deals with OrangePi devices. In this case also not the right place for your ;)

If it is Armbian however then I need to mention that broken ethernet is a known issue at the moment and might be fixed in the next release on February. Support state of internal WiFi is unknown.

Should run better following this merge. Will be pushed to stable repository once tested - you can try by switching to nightly beta repository (armbian-config -> system).

Hello I installed Armbian 22.11 Jammy XFCE and try to connect to Wi-FI without success. Also changed to nightly without success.

(without providing complete logs we anyway don't know what you are talking about and there is not possible to provide any help. This below is a guess what you are doing wrong.)

After you download images, de-freeze firmware upgrade. In command shell:

sudo armbian-config -> system -> De-freeze (enable Armbian kernel upgrades)

exit

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Reboot and wifi must works. It works perfectly fine for me:

With such hardware - pay attention to the wifi chip / version:

If you are not having LTS board containing this chip, you need a different image:

Click: https://www.armbian.com/orangepi3-lts/

Read: "Images for non LTS version can be downloaded here"

Doesn't work

This is crazy. I have several Opi3 and they all work, while people reporting "WiFi doesn't work". Please provide everything what you did, which image you are using, how do you trying to connect and provide full logs

Hi.

I'm using this image. I Flash this image Armbian_22.11.1_Orangepi3-lts_jammy_current_5.15.80_xfce_desktop.img.xz and follow your steps and still can't connect to Wi-Fi.

Best,

You need to provide more information:
- which image (link)
- which hardware revision (perhaps a photo)
- where booting ends
- is this the only SD card you have

@madade  Why do you ask for help again when you haven't provided the information that Igor asked of you.

He asked you for four things:

You only provided an answer to one request.

Which hardware revision (picture please)?

Where does booting end? (capture of the console output of the boot)

Try another sd card.  (Just because a card works in some circumstances, doesn't mean it will work for this purpose, sbc's are finicky when it comes to sd cards at times)
