ずっと一人 Posted May 26 Posted May 26 I have built and used it with the latest source and still HDMI audio and analog audio does not work. Is there any way to get HDMI audio to work other than using the vendor kernel? 0 Quote
Werner Posted May 26 Posted May 26 May work once rockchip64 has been bumped to 6.15 https://gitlab.collabora.com/hardware-enablement/rockchip-3588/notes-for-rockchip-3588/-/blob/main/mainline-status.md 0 Quote
Guest Posted May 26 Posted May 26 The hardware driver support listed at Collabora in the Linux kernel will have nothing to do with the Linux distro base, like Debian or Ubuntu? 0 Quote
ずっと一人 Posted May 27 Author Posted May 27 I built and tested it with the rc version of kernel 6.15 it works. Waiting for Armbian to support 6.15😄 0 Quote
ricardo_brz Posted Sunday at 11:28 AM Posted Sunday at 11:28 AM Armbian already is! uname -a Linux orangepi5-plus 6.15.0-edge-rockchip64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun May 25 23:09:23 UTC 2025 aarch64 GNU/Linux Itś on edge, but it's working fine here, apart from the analog audio... 0 Quote
EricaLina Posted Wednesday at 11:39 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:39 AM That doesn't work then. The point is to get audio working. We still have a bit of a wait until a proper 6.15 kernel is there. 0 Quote
Werner Posted Wednesday at 11:56 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:56 AM HDMI audio has been merged into 6.15. Board may need additional device tree nodes to make it work. Analog audio should work already as well bug may also need additional nodes. Collabora sent for Rock5B and 5B+ only upstream. https://gitlab.collabora.com/hardware-enablement/rockchip-3588/notes-for-rockchip-3588/-/blob/main/mainline-status.md 0 Quote
