Any desktop image for Orange Pi Zeo Plus 2 [Allwinner H5] ?

It is one of the smallest board featuring H5 soc. Since it has an on-board HDMI connector, i think it would be great to have a Desktop image for this board.
Other H5 /similar boards like PC2 and Prime already have various desktops available (xenial / stretch with xfce)....

Do u guys have any plan to release one in the future?

and thanks a lot for the tremendous amount of effort u have put into this project :)

We decided to not provide desktop builds for 64bit devices with 512MB RAM so we will not release any prebuilt desktop images for this board.

It is still possible to install necessary packages and configure them manually.

That is really a shame.  I think it works rather well as a desktop. (As long as you stay away from Chromium!)

 

I posted about how to install the desktop yourself

But it still lacks the "polish" of the actual Armbian Desktop. 

 

Is there any chance someone could post some working instructions for installing the desktop completely?

It's plain simple.

1. Update to the latest nightly build (optional. there this method works 100%)

2. armbian-config -> system -> install minimal desktop | install desktop with a browser
