Linux. balbes150 Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 I may have "psychological glitches" but I have a feeling that the image version is 20180817 (after adding the settings file" /etc/mpv.conf") works better. Videos play smoothly, and in the version 20180819 there are noticeable artifacts. This is just me, isn't it ?
balbes150 Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 It's not a glitch. I have a USB system 5.55 (presumably this is version 20180817, but it is not accurate). I don't remember exactly what actions I was doing with it, copied it and changed the advanced settings etc. But the fact is, it has 1080p video running smoothly, without friezes and brakes on the VIM2 S912. My test videos with 4K also work with almost no brakes, there are microfreezes that I write off to the USB drive from which I run it. In this version, the "mpv" itself differs in behavior, if during playback , move the mouse in the video window, there are no fading playback, which are typical when working in other images.
Tommy21 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 armbianmonitor -m doesn't check cpu temperatures anymore, it shows only cpu load and percentage?

balbes150 Posted August 23, 2018 Author Posted August 23, 2018 Update. 5.59 (20180823). Fixed WiFi work on Khadas VIM1 (s905x). 17 hours ago, MOHAMMAD HADI said: I compiled the kernel from torvalds tree I tried to gather the latest kernel from the official branches, on the VIM1\VIM2 HDMI, reboot not working. 1
MOHAMMAD HADI Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I've compiled the kernel successfully from Torvalds tree by using the next config instead of the default, I've applied Maxime v4l2-m2m patches and I get video decoder but it doesn't really work when playing files, as far as I can see it only works with FFmpeg when dumping raw frames.
gnthibault Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 @Shimon or anybody else, does someone knows which dtb should be used for h96+ S912 box with 4.1x kernel ? I tried to install the usb_modeswitch package on ubuntu bionic 3.14 kernel. It work, but after restarting, I cannit boot anymore, there is an exception during boot. Thank you in advance for your help
chpasha Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 I'm experiencing problem installing Armbian 5.59 / 4.18 based on Ubuntu Bionic on my H96 Pro (s912 3/16) using (presumably correct) gxm_q200 dtb from image - amlogic logo goes away after some time and then appears again in endless loop. Strange thing is that the same 5.59 / 4.18 based on xenial with the same dtb boots just fine. Not a big deal since xenial is also ok for me too
Kenrry Tam Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Hi, Please add TCP BBR module into kernel it can increase the network speed much.
Tommy21 Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 I downloaded latest image, bionic desktop with 4.18 kernel , copied dtb, pasted it to root folder, renamed it to dtb.img, and i still don’t have wifi network. I did even try to load modules, modprobe wifi_dummy and modprobe dhd, as root of course, nothing worked. Balbes wrote that Vim wifi was fixed in this version, my Vim doesn't show anything, i've tried dtb from both folders, nothing worked. Device is Vim1 pro.
alopezinkt Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Hi Balbes, great work with your images. I´m trying to use them with serial device which requires CONFIG_USB_ACM configured in the kernel. It was setup on 3.1X versions of your images but it´s not on this ones. Could you enable it please? Thanks
MOHAMMAD HADI Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 @balbes150 We should make a repository for our custom packages and add them to apt lists, it doesn't make sense to reflash the image or manually downloading and installing deb packages every time the kernel gets updated, I think we can use SourceForge to host the packages for free.
ramawatar Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 After install in emmc my tv box not reboot and only red light on how i recover my tv box help . I use usb burning tool but my box not recognise and use burn card not successful. I done ddbr backup befor but box not run and not booting.
