  1. You cannot simply put an sd card with an OS designed for SBC type X into an SBC type Y and expect to work. Get official images here:https://www.armbian.com/download/ To bring it to the eMMC first you have to write the image to the sd card, boot from it and use code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } armbian-config (or issue code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } nand-sata-install directly) to write it to the eMMC.
  2. It is not uncommon that root privileges are needed to show such things. It depends on the way the clock is read from the system which differs from chip to chip. Sometimes it works without elevation
  3. Links to external pages which do not belong to armbian (github is an exception) are now marked with a small symbol at their end. Example: link to google Exclusive dark theme has been adjusted from fixed to fluid width. Also removed post count, reputation and other unneeded noise from the topic view.
  4. Interesting idea. https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8257-no-external-links/ Testlinks: https://forum.armbian.com/profile/5623-chwe/?wr=eyJhcHAiOiJmb3J1bXMiLCJtb2R1bGUiOiJmb3J1bXMtY29tbWVudCIsImlkXzEiOjEzMDI0LCJpZF8yIjoxMTA5NTh9 https://www.armbian.com/cubieboard-1/ At the first link to invision you can see a small icon. This will appear if a link goes external. Has nothing to do with the linked plugin which would add the warning page but I added this icon as immediate measure. Only visible with the dark theme now for testing. Added to Haze theme too.
  5. Maybe remove a couple of Bionic builds and focus on Focal?
  6. The the common log files like dmesg or syslog.
  7. This restriction applies to all new users. You can thank all the spamers out there which try to abuse forums to spread their BS. You received a like which will lift the restrictions for you either immediately or after next cron batch. Not sure.
  8. If it is not provided by upstream (Debian or Ubuntu to say) you may need to build it on your own.
  9. code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; }Tr Tried installing iptables? Maybe it is missing: sudo apt-get install iptables
  10. There are still the registration terms which are way mor compact and kept generally valid: https://forum.armbian.com/terms
  11. https://forum.armbian.com/guidelines/ I just dropped over this page by accident and I think this is the first time I have seen this since I registered I have my doubts that many actually reading those, last but not least it is a lot of text and most is already spreat around to places where it is actually important. So I suggest to simply remove the page due to lack of value.
  12. I can barely remember there was a similar thing about a year ago and I think the conclusion was that H2+/H3 does not support slave mode but master only. Could be totally wrong though, just as a hint where you could start digging.
  13. From what I read in the source I assume the whole wifi stuff is handled via hostapd. Did you take a look at its config files?
  14. I don't know. I just gave you the hint that providing the logs may catch attention from somebody who actually knows
  15. Besides the good and warm feeling and the donator badge a new, exclusivly for donators available dark theme has been added to the forums. There is a preview attached to this posting. Special thanks to @NicoD for providing the background If you have an active subscription you can select it from the Theme menu at the very bottom of the page. If you do not have one, get it here: https://forum.armbian.com/subscriptions/ Also the white banners with red text mentioning to provide proper logs, contribute code or buy swag and so on will no longer be shown to donators. Last but not least for all users a new editor icon has been added which allows to add inline code: For example you can highlight a command like code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } armbianmonitor within a sentence.
  16. You can build a new kernel package from master branch using the build script. This will include @5kft's revert commit. Or you get lucky a find a matching package here: https://beta.armbian.com/
  17. Do I as community manager have to know how to rebuild a kernel? No. But I have to know when a topic is at its wrong place and where it belongs. However some users could get upset when their stuff is moved around so I leave a note why. And no, you are not a moderator and therefore cannot move the topic on your own. Commendable attitude regardless.
  18. Support for stoneage kernels have been dropped over a year ago. Therefore unsupported and moved to p2p
  19. Just a small reminder. Merge window is closing tomorrow 2020-10-18 After that bug fixes only.
  20. code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } This is a line of text with a command that a user should execute or not: code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } armbianmonitor -u
  21. "Advertisments" (you know the red text mentioning providing logs, buy swag ecetera...) are no longer visible to donators and moderators. Also working on a dark theme for the mentioned groups above. @NicoD you might want to try it
  22. Stretch is still supported until June 2022. So if there are no new features in Buster you need or are a must have I do not see a reason to update.
  23. DIstro upgrades are not supported. Also kernel upgrades with major version jumps are just barely tested, simply due to lack of ressources. So if you can I'd recommend starting over with a fresh image.
