my very first SBC (Lamobo R1) is finally completely FLOSS (free libre open source software) supported :D  So to say the best product from SinoVoip, sadly I never received an answer from  @Nora Lee @Lion Wang  about my suggestion  especially point 1 & 2 would be easy and a huge improvement of the hardware.

Digital Signage Player,  based on Webbrowser, WordPress, LAMP - using archlinux|ARM.

 

Sounds cool and as it has been tested on Raspberry Pi 3B, I guess it should easily run on any mainline Kernel supported SBC :)  beautiful step-by-step setup.

 Quite funny is the name of the repository for german speakers: https://github.com/boschkundendienst/raspisignage     this means:  BOSCH customer service ... while his avatar is not :huh:

Bit off topic, that's what the topic is for :)
So I've been using the NanoPi M4/V2 for over a half year as main desktop and left my pc off most of the times. That today gave me a nice advantage in my electrical bill.
While the price of electricity goes up, I consumed 8.8% less only by using SBC's instead of my pc. And that not for a full year even. I can still improve with LED lights. And keep using my SBCs.

This does give an example why using ARM can be very benificial. I even made a quick video about it. Not really Armbian related. I don't think I need to convince any of you of the advantages of using arm.
But it is a good thing to think about where we can save money/energy in replacing x86 machines with arm boards.

Arm also has disadvantages off course. Less user friendly, do it yourself... I also talk about that. So you don't need to see the video any more actually, bit if you do, please enjoy.

While trying to get @PittPC access to my Rock Pi 4B, but not having a domaine-name (WWW) and because of my provider using DS-Lite (Dual Stack Lite) on IPv4 I am not able to open a tunnel :wacko:. While I have an IPv6 but PittPC does not %)   So, I asked him: Can I install something that opens a connection to you?

 

So I learned about this: MeshCentral

This is a full computer management web site. With MeshCentral, you can run your own web server to remotely manage and control computers on a local network or anywhere on the internet. Once you get the server started, create device group and download and install an agent on each computer you want to manage. A minute later, the new computer will show up on the web site and you can take control of it. MeshCentral includes full web-based remote desktop, terminal and file management capability.
