  1. Might be an undocumented switch then. However its usage is not recommended since the kernel patchset follows upstream so sooner or later applying the patchset will fail on older branches.
  2. There is no such switch. https://docs.armbian.com/Developer-Guide_Build-Options/
  3. In theory it should perform as the OPi4 LTS with the exemption that a case has been molded around
  4. Agree. At the bottom line it is up to the user to decide if a strong password is mandatory or not. A confirmation should do it. Everything else is out of scope for us anyways. Enforcing a strong password also often leads to cause the user to use kind a bare-mininum-working password like qawsed123.

    P1 Pro Device tree?

I know the "old" Station P1 is just a ROC RK3399 PC PLUS with a nice case welded around. No idea what the differences to the Pro model are though. So I guess you are kind a close.
  6. We fixed an issue that lead into unavailability of private messaging. This has been resolved.
  7. New registered users are limited on both private messaging and post creation. This measure is unfortunately necessary in order to fight spam in our community forums. All these restrictions lift within a short period of time once user create a few successfully approved postings. Thanks for understanding.
  8. Feel free to provide PR to add support for this board https://docs.armbian.com/Developer-Guide_Adding-Board-Family/ https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md
  9. Wouldn't it be easier to simply adjust the data root of Docker instead of messing with /var directly? https://www.guguweb.com/2019/02/07/how-to-move-docker-data-directory-to-another-location-on-ubuntu/
  10. We can only provide support for Armbian. I suggest to ask at Raspbian's place in this case.
  11. Feel free to dig though the archive: https://archive.armbian.com If the image is not there then we do not have it anymore. Moved
  12. No idea. I suggest to ask at Ubuntu's place directly if they support it. We can only support Armbian.
  13. Personalized support will not erase your data unless specifically asked for. Yes, Igor is the founder of the Armbian project. Feel free to watch the video from the BalCCon2K17 on which he also talks a bit about the early days of Armbian: https://www.armbian.com/authors/
  14. Make sure to read the topic above again and carefully to get all necessary information.
  15. More information about personalized/professional support is available here: https://github.com/armbian/build#support
  16. moved The images mentioned above are provided by a 3rd party that is not affiliated with the Armbian project. As with all downloads on the internet special precaution should be taken when using unofficial stuff.
  17. Providing logs with armbianmonitor -u helps with troubleshooting and significantly raises chances that issue gets addressed. moved to unmaintained
  18. Took a quick look at the schematics and for once the dc jack has a few filtering components after going to 5V lane and for the other USB 5v seem not to be shorted through. So the answer is no, not possible. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RH2j3TY7MUZvV9V_cz6r5iDbeloxnEy6
  19. Besides the recommended images based on current kernel and stable userspaces we also provide cutting edge images for testing. Unfortunately due to that we notice and increasing amount of complains about such things won't work which is for some to be expected and for the other related to unstable userspace (like Debian sid). Dealing with such support requests causes time loss on our end and frustration on user's end since these issues most likely cannot even be solved by us. On our last Weekly Armbian Community Voice Chat on Discord we discussed this topic and came up with a few ideas how to deal with the situation. So what do you think how to deal with this? Please let us know by voting on one of the suggestions.
  20. Seems like they offer "Armbian" images themselves: https://wiki.banana-pi.org/Banana_Pi_BPI-M5#Armbian
  21. This is a measure that is unfortunately needed to fight spam in our forums. You don't see any because we're doing a pretty decent job keeping it clean Anyway this restriction will lift automatically after a short while for genuine users
  22. Guess I'm old school in that matter
