  1. You can also give me some time and all you need to do will be to update and upgrade. A small bugfix release is planned ASAP and this can be fixed on the way. I'll repack u-boot with 2017.07 since I couldn't find the cause of the problem in current one.

  3. Try one more thing - downgrade u-boot to this one: http://apt.armbian.com/pool/main/l/linux-u-boot-cubieboard2-next/linux-u-boot-next-cubieboard2_5.31_armhf.deb
  4. Absolutely. We lack time/manpower to "fix everything" Feel free to add whatever you think might be useful and create a pull request to the main repo.
  5. Correct. If nothing of those will make any change then proceed to install older u-boot in a combination with this modern kernel. http://apt.armbian.com/pool/main/l/linux-u-boot-cubieboard2-next/ Side note. Difference between u-boot configs, added in 2017.09: CONFIG_SCSI=y CONFIG_SYS_USB_EVENT_POLL_VIA_INT_QUEUE=y
  6. Yes. In case you failed to boot ... download and unpack http://apt.armbian.com/pool/main/l/linux-4.11.6-sunxi/ over SD card and boot.
  7. There is no wiki and we don't deal with upstream bugs. It's impossible. This is just an observation working with Stretch, finding bugs here and there. They are less and less critical ... This upgrade is mostly unrelated to our work (modern kernel is ready, our work is Stretch ready) and you should ask Debian folks this question ... Stable distribution upgrades are usually manual.
  8. Can someone try this 4.14.y kernel? linux-dtb-next-sunxi_5.36_armhf.deb linux-image-next-sunxi_5.36_armhf.deb
  9. From what you wrote I have no idea of which problem did you stop? Can't you control brightness at all or what?
  10. CPU min/max setting is overwriting at each BSP update. Also on next one expected to happen soon.
  11. Possible yes, recommended? Mostly yes but in some minor/special cases, you might run into some troubles. Debian Stretch still has some glitches.
  12. For low-mid-cost SD card, this is completely normal. We plan to push development on an eMMC flasher (from SD or via FEL mode), which will speed this process up dramatically. But it will be a direct copy only, which means limited customization options.
  13. I see they don't support ARM nor ARM64 (Rpi install exists) and it's not an OSS anyway. Get xrdp - it works fine. Install is possible from armbian-config menu or: apt-get install xrdp vnc4server
  14. It is not implemented yet. You can use some USB based until then - it should work out of the box. You only need to enable Bluetooth support within armbian-config or install appropriate userspace packages manually.
  15. We have very good results with Realtek 8811/8812/8814. I hope you order those? I managed to brick my Espressobin but was able to bring it back. Clearfog is different enough beast and is here for some time, while Espressobin still has glitches here and there. It is safe to update u-boot from our download - those are the latest builds: https://dl.armbian.com/espressobin/u-boot but the problem with non-working ath10 card exists.

Wish to add s5p6818 to the Armbian exists and we did some small progress on this. There is one image for Nanopi M3 and a kernel 4.4.y showed up (untested) recently for those chips ... beside stock 3.4.y which is too old to deal with and officially EOL. More people on the project helps more than cash here and there. Our group is small and a lot of work is expected to get this chip/those boards on a decent level. If there will be just a few people dealing with s5p6818, progress will remain slow.
  17. Yes and FriendlyARM is using those for UART/powering. I was also looking for those, to create power cables. I am looking for such version - male connector and 30cm cable - but have no luck finding them:
  18. What about this way? https://github.com/zador-blood-stained/fel-mass-storage
  19. I only have Cubieboard 1 and 3 (which is similar) and I was not able to reproduce this issue. I also installed the system on SSD ... no problems.
  20. Most likely related to insufficient power supply. https://forum.armbian.com/forum/31-sd-card-and-power-supply/
  21. The card is most likely not properly initialized in u-boot, while kernel support exists. This card works fine on Clearfog with a very similar kernel configuration. Check below which one is tested / working https://www.armbian.com/espressobin/ ... ath9k works, while no AC speed on those.
  22. The repository is fixed. 1. apt update & apt upgrade 2. armbian-config -> network -> hotspot
  23. Did you upgrade to latest and reboot? I am not sure this is solved in some older builds.

I assume you are using your own build?
