  1. Non-LTS Ubuntu releases wont be added unless by community contribution and even then they will not receive any support. Disco/Eoan were community contributions too.
  2. It is not possible to create armhf images for arm64 boards.
  3. I'm curios how well the video engine works on this board with the available kernels. Any chance somebody setup a jellyfin and do some tests with hardware transcoding if available?
  4. This is an external driver catched from here: https://github.com/brektrou/rtl8821CU Maybe some change there broke compilation for 4.9...
  5. Maybe. For now it might be the best to move this to Feature Requests
  6. There aren't many people that do gaming on these devices so hard to tell. Maybe there is a slight chance that @NicoD has some experience with joysticks on arm.
  7. The current torrent size is 283,x GB atm for those who are interested: https://werner.armbian.de/_offtopic/torrent_statistics.txt
  8. Well just for the heck of it you could build a new image with sunxi-legacy and joystick support, test it and then grab a normal Ubuntu 20.04 for your PC which comes with kernel 5.4.x too and do a small comparison. I don't there is any difference from the kernel point of view. Though it might be possible that x86 Ubuntu Desktop ships some additional software tools with to make these toys properly work. But there is only one way to find out....
  9. Maybe the mirror you were randomly assigned is not fully synced yet. Retry a bit later. Or grab manually: https://us.mirrors.fossho.st/armbian/apt/pool/main/l/linux-5.7.15-rockchip64/
  10. Not sure if this is anything that Armbian can fix or help with. Anyway I'll put a PR to add joystick support to sunxi-current since it is present in other board families too.
  11. Aight, will do. I'll edit here once its finished. https://werner.armbian.de/_extra/Armbian_20.08.0-trunk_Bananapi_focal_current_5.7.16.img.xz
  12. This does not look much like Armbian... Did you properly clear your sd card before flashing Armbian on it? Since OrangePi images come with two partitions and Armbian with only one. Better erase the partition table of your sd card before trying to flash anything on it.
  13. I do not have this board so I cannot test that. I create a new image with generic joystick support and added all available models as modules. Let me know if it works. https://werner.armbian.de/_extra/Armbian_20.08.0-trunk_Orangepipc_focal_current_5.7.16.img.gz
  14. Did a quick check. xpad module seems to be missing in sunxi kernel configs while it is present in rk* und some other. I'll look into
  15. Aaaaaaand it's out: https://www.armbian.com/newsflash/armbian-20-08-caple/
  16. Then you should state your question to the OrangePi folks themselves. Armbian has nothing to do wih these (badly hacked together) images.
  17. You can try but it is not supported so you are on your own then.
  18. Well it will install some tools and of course will download the toolchain to make cross-compile possible. So first startup will take a while.
  19. If you refuse using the build script to create a kernel package for your board (yes, it is possible to build the package only and not a whole image) then you are on your own.
  20. No idea. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=modprobe+operation+not+permitted&t=ffab&ia=web https://forum.armbian.com/search/?q=operation%20not%20permitted%20modprobe&fromCSE=1
  21. I don't know if there is a difference with @balbes150's fork but with pure Armbian follow this guide to setup a build environment and get a kernel image Debian package which you can simply install via dpkg -i https://docs.armbian.com/Developer-Guide_Build-Preparation/
